Biography:

Giulio Manzoni is an entrepreneur and inventor with proven track record and 25 years of industrial experience in developing products from conception, design, proof of concept, prototyping to production.He founded Microspace, in Italy in 2002, and in Singapore in 2007 with a fully equipped laboratory for micropropulsion and satellites development and operations. Such micropropulsion systems have been demonstrated on a long duration Space mission by Microspace’s satellite POPSAT-HIP1 launched in June 2014, fully operated by Microspace in Singapore from proprietary Earth Station.Giulio, together with his small team of engineers in Singapore and Italy, has also developed Athenoxat-1, the second satellite of Microspace launched in December 2015. Athenoxat-1 is reaching now 4 years of operations in space during which it has delivered thousands of interesting pictures to validate its novel experimental imaging systems and attitude controls devices.

Abstract:

Biography:

Dr. Mohamed Hamdi (PhD, habilitation) is the founding director of Elgazala Innovation Center where he leads the supervision of innovative startup projects. He co-authored more than 150 scientific publications published in international journals and conferences. He was the chair of the 'Cloud security' industry forum in the IEEE ICC'12 conference (Ottawa, Canada). He has also chaired and co-chaired international conferences and special issues in international conferences including the ‘Trust, Security, and Privacy’ symposium in the IEEE IWCMC 2012 conference and for the special issue on ‘Web Services in Multimedia Communication’ for the journal on Advances in Multimedia. He presented multiple tutorials and invited speeches in international conferences such as the GEOSS Forum (Globecom 2011). In addition, Dr. Hamdi has been invited at the ITU World Telecom conference to serve as a panelist in a forum on the security of social networks. He also passed prestigious professional certifications including the CISSP and the CISCO Security certifications. He is conducting research activities in the areas of cloud security and assurance, Internet of things, and security incident handling. Between 2001 and 2005, he worked for the National Digital Certification Agency (Tunisia) where he was the leader of the security risk management team.

Abstract:

Space communication is becoming a vital part of national and international infrastructures. Countries are increasingly dependent on global satellite capabilities for national and international infrastructures, which include systems governing the navigation of aircraft and ships, military decision-support systems, financial transactions, and communications through the Internet. Cybersecurity threats to space communications are a relatively new phenomenon, with increasing connections to the forefront of concern for the critical systems due to the vulnerabilities that such threats may exploit and negatively impact. In fact, such vulnerabilities may affect military command systems, launch systems, communications, telemetry, tracking and command, and mission completion. More importantly, space infrastructures are often used as backup solutions to traditional communication mechanism: consequently, they are not secured by design.

Dr. Ing. R. Usubamatov has completed his PhD from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. He is Professional Engineer in Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering.  He worked as engineer at a company and lecturer in universities of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia. He is Professor of Kyrgyz State Technical University, a premier research organization.  His key research are Productivity Theory for Industrial Engineering and Gyroscope Theory that represented by 8 books, 30 brochures, 61 patents of inventions and more than 350 manuscripts in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of several repute journals

Abstract:

The physics of the gyroscopic effects is more complex than represented in known theories. Recent investigations have demonstrated that the external torque applied on gyroscopes generates the system of eight inertial torques acting interdependently. This torques are produced by the rotating the mass elements of the spinning disc and manifest all gyroscopic effects. Gyroscopic inertial torques is generated by the centrifugal, common inertial, Coriolis forces, as well as the change in the angular momentum of the spinning rotor. This torques represents the fundamental principles of gyroscope theory. New mathematical models for the gyroscopic effects are validated by practical tests. It is proven analytically that gyroscope’s precession velocities are variable. The action of the resulting precession torques leads to the gyroscope turn up that proves no anti-gravity effect. The interrelated action of several inertial forces on the gyroscope manifests phenomena of their deactivation. Practice demonstrates the deactivation of centrifugal and Coriolis forces that contradict to principles of physics. The phenomena of the deactivation of the inertial forces need a deep study. Probably, there are other situations that manifest the deactivation of the inertial forces for the moving objects. This is a new challenge for the physics of mechanics

WCA is capable of providing advanced composite design and analysis for multiple loading and heating environments including inertial, shock, fatigue dynamic, external/internal aerodynamic flow CFD, with cryogenic to elevated temperatures.

Abstract:

As the benefits of advanced composite materials become known to the satellite communications industry, there is an increasing need for fast and accurate design and analysis of these new composite reflectors. Since often times these composite structures are used in cost critical commercial applications, which require faster design engineering, materials development, and manufacturing with shorter delivery schedules.  Due to cost and time constraints, full scale environmental testing is usually not an option for these commercial applications.  Therefore, there is an urgent need for experienced composite D&A engineers with an extensive background in composite materials and structures.  These engineers relay on many advanced techniques and tools to accelerate the composite design and engineering process.

Dr. Khalid has vast university / industry experience. During his tenure in the industry, he served in the defense related projects and in recognition of his services, he has been awarded commendation certificates by multiple government agencies.

Abstract:

During the last 15 years, developed and under developed countries has undergone extreme transformations concerning population and economic conditions. As a virus’s country with more people living in high-risk areas than ever before, it is increasingly essential to pro-actively address natural and human-made viruses, malware, and ransomware and the cumulative risks that they pose at multiple spatial and temporal scales. In recent years, Pakistan has been hit by a series of natural disasters. In October 2005, there was a 7.6 magnitude and earthquake in 2010, 2011, and 2012 there was severe flooding. Whereas data disasters is also one the hidden elements which plays a vital role to disturb the economic position of a county. Other developed countries specially Pakistan that up to 2nd March 2019 has researched at considerable position in data loss in business environment. In which figures, 31% due to hardware or system failure, 29% lost data due to human error, 29% due to this financial damage caused by a data breach up to a loss of $3.86 million.

Bachelor (Dual Degree) in Aerospace Engineering from India & China. Abstract:

Space technology is producing a huge impact on mankind since the Sputnik era. Biological system firstly adapts & then improve by a process of natural selection; Darwin called it EVOLU-TION. Similarly, at the beginning of the twentieth century, spacecraft subsystems were subject to steady improvements on technology, but within last decades because of exponentially growth of space system (Government & Private), space exploration has shown impressive record on innovation, several global challenges, culture & inspiration and many more. The challenge of space exploration drives a continuing effort to design ever more capable, reliable, and efficient systems requiring the utmost ingenuity. But the question rises, Can this technological revolution be able to maintain the sustainability for future generations? So, this speech will be on how we can bring sustainability by using space technologies. It will also be discussed how open source Earth Observation data (Geospatial Informations) along with Satellite Positioning System, Satellite Communication System and Astrobiological research on space, are supporting the UNOOSA (United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs) mentioned 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Intensive research and analysis on space exploration data, geographical data, directly and indirectly, benefit the humankind and drives progress in human health care, robotics and overall to save our Earth. This talk also will point out the interlink between astrodynamical aspects, satellite technological progress (Laser Communication, Constellation, miniaturized electric Propulsion), space missions (Enceladus mission) and Ecological & Economical development in sustainable goals.

M.Mehmet NEFES graduated from Bilkent University (Turkey) as electrical and electronics enginer and also has a MSc degree in Engineering Management (MEM)  from Turkish Aeronautical Association University (THK University, Turkey),  He has been working at TURKSAT Satellite Communcation AS for more than 14 years in the area of satellite projects including operation, planning, R&D, design and manufacturing. Currently he is working as technical expert focusing of satellite payload and TCR subsystems under Türksat-5A and Türksat-5B satellites program. He also  served as a member of scientific committee for RAST 2019 (9th International Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technologies).

Abstract:

High Throughput Satellite (HTS) systems are in demand by taking advantage of frequency reuse and multiple spot beams to increase throughput and reduce the cost per bit delivered. Payload design concepts are different compared to conventional bent-pipe and limited wide-beam payloads due to nature of HTS complexity and connectivity of the links inside satellite payload, regardless of spectrum choice. This study is focused on different input section design schemes in multi-beam HTS payloads by investigating advantages and drawbacks of multipack and shared power supply concepts.
